In the comfort of our lobby, we will ask you to fill out some paperwork. These forms can be found on the website and downloaded in advance. During the consultation, Dr. Rainbow or Dr. Sankey will examine and diagnose your pet. They will give you a complete estimate of charges, including a low and high estimate of surgery if deemed necessary. The low end of the estimate is taken as a deposit when the patient is admitted to the hospital. We have on-call technicians and 24 hour care is provided.

After graduation, he received a commission in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX and Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. In 1996, Marc left active duty to pursue his veterinary education.
Marc graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 2000. He completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Texas A&M University in 2001. Marc was accepted to an Ophthalmology Residency at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, during which he also completed a Master’s of Science degree.
Marc finished his ophthalmology training in July 2004 and moved to San Antonio to start South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology. In 2014 Dr. Rainbow sold his practice in San Antonio and is dedicating all his time and efforts to North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology.
Dr. Robin Sankey is a board certified specialist in ophthalmology. She received her DVM from Colorado State University. She was the owner of a small animal practice in New Mexico for 13 years. In 2015, Dr. Sankey was selected for a residency position in Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Animal Ophthalmology Clinic in Dallas.
Her clinical interests are ophthalmic manifestations of systemic disease and uveitis. Her personal hobbies include arts, gardening, and hiking.
Dr. Sankey will be seeing patients and available for consultation Tuesday through Friday at North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology. We are very fortunate to have her on our staff. We are certain that her addition to our practice will allow NHVO to serve our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians better and more efficiently.
